The popular Scottish dish has an original look. Minced chicken balls with spices around a whole quail egg look cute in the cut. The dish can be served as a cold appetizer.
It is necessary
- - chicken fillet (300 g);
- - parsley leaves (50 g);
- - garlic (2 cloves);
- - quail eggs (10 pcs.);
- - chicken egg (1 pc.);
- - wheat flour (50 g);
- - breadcrumbs (100 g);
- - sunflower oil (600 ml.);
- - salt, black pepper and mustard (to taste).
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces, add parsley, garlic and mustard to it. Mix with a blender until smooth. Salt, pepper and mix again.
Step 2
Cook hard boiled quail eggs. We place the eggs in cold water for 10 minutes, so that the shells are easily separated when cleaning the eggs.
Step 3
We prepare three plates for dipping: pour breadcrumbs into one, wheat flour into the second, and a chicken egg beaten with salt and pepper into the third.
Step 4
We divide the minced chicken and greens into 10 parts and make a small cake from each part. Place a quail egg in the center of each cake, form a ball and dip it in flour, egg and breadcrumbs in turn.
Step 5
Dip the balls in boiling oil and fry for 7-10 minutes. To get rid of excess oil, spread the dish on edible paper.
Step 6
Cut the cooled balls into two halves and decorate with herbs.
