Crab sticks are familiar to any housewife from the name of the eponymous and very popular salad. But it turns out that this is a versatile product on the basis of which you can prepare quick, tasty and original snacks.

Crab stick cutlets

You will need:

- crab sticks - 400 g;

- carrots - 1 pc;

- onion - 1 piece;

- egg 1 pc;

- sour cream or mayonnaise - 3 tablespoons;

- salt pepper;

- bread crumbs;

- sunflower oil.

Rub the carrots on a coarse grater, and finely chop the onion, fry until cooked in sunflower oil. Finely chop the crab sticks (you can use a blender or meat grinder), put in a deep bowl. Add vegetables, salt, pepper, eggs and sour cream (mayonnaise) to the sticks and mix thoroughly. We form cutlets from the finished mass, roll them in breadcrumbs and fry in sunflower oil on both sides until golden brown.

Crab sticks in cheese batter

You will need:

- crab sticks - 250-300 g;

- hard cheese - 100 g;

- eggs - 2 pcs;

- salt pepper;

- flour - 3-5 tbsp;

- sunflower oil.

We thaw the crab sticks completely at room temperature. For batter: break the eggs into a deep bowl, add salt and beat with a fork (whisk) until smooth. Add flour in small portions, stirring all the time to avoid the appearance of lumps. Rub the hard cheese on a medium grater and pour it into the batter. The batter dough should be thick enough, about the same as for pancakes. Dip the melted sticks in batter and put in a pan with boiling sunflower oil. Fry the sticks on both sides until golden brown over medium heat.
