- 2 raw eggs;

- 2 teaspoons of soda;

- 200 grams of poppy;

- 1 glass of blueberry jam;

- 1 cup of sugar;

- sour cream (or liquid honey).

Start by preparing the filling for the dumplings. To do this, pour boiling water over the dry poppy so that it is completely covered with it. Allow the poppy seeds some time to absorb moisture and swell, then add a glass of sugar to it and grind thoroughly with a mortar. If a lot of excess liquid has formed, be sure to drain it carefully. Add blueberry jam to the poppy seed filling and mix everything.

Now you can start preparing the dough for steamed dumplings. For this purpose, add all the soda to the curdled milk and stir the liquid to dissolve it. Sift the flour into a large container, beat in raw eggs, salt, and then pour the yogurt. From this mixture, quickly knead a thin dough. You can knead the dough in portions, if necessary, so that it does not over-stir.

Roll the finished dough into a layer on a floured table surface. Use a glass or mug to cut out the circles. Make sure that the dough does not stick to the table, sprinkle it with additional flour as needed.

Now you can fill the dough with poppy filling, for this, put this mass in the middle of each circle with a teaspoon (2-3 tablespoons). Try not to let the liquid run down to the edges, to do this, pinch them harder at once and form a dumpling.

Not all housewives have a steamer or pans for making manti. But there is a way to steam food in ordinary dishes. To do this, fill a wide saucepan only halfway with water. Pull the gauze over the top. When the water boils, place the dumplings on top of it at a distance of 2-3 cm from each other. Cover the pot with a bowl on top to avoid damaging the dumplings and cook over high heat for 5 minutes. Serve steamed ready-made dumplings hot, after pouring sour cream or melted liquid honey on them.

If you want to make steamed dumplings stuffed with fresh berries, such as cherries, first remove the seeds from them and squeeze lightly to remove excess liquid. Then add sugar to taste and stir. Place only berries without juice on the filling dough. Otherwise, the dumplings simply won't stick together. Steam them in the same way as poppies.
