Banoffi pie is an English dessert traditionally composed of bananas, cream, toffee from boiled condensed milk. The dough must be shortbread, otherwise a full-fledged English dessert will not work. Making the dough is simple - from cookies and butter.
It is necessary
- For eight servings:
- - 400 ml cream 35% fat;
- - 250 g of shortbread cookies;
- - 150 g butter;
- - 1 banana;
- - a can of boiled condensed milk;
- - 1 teaspoon of instant coffee and powdered sugar.
Instructions
Step 1
Grind the cookies into crumbs, cover with melted butter, stir until smooth (you can use a food processor or do it by hand).
Step 2
Put the cookies in a split form, tamp them more tightly. Place in the oven for 15 minutes to dry the base. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Cool the resulting cake.
Step 3
Put boiled condensed milk on the base, distribute evenly.
Step 4
Peel bananas, cut lengthwise into pieces, put on condensed milk.
Step 5
Whip the cream, add instant coffee, icing sugar. Whisk again until soft peaks form. Put the cream on the bananas, flatten, remove the dessert for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Step 6
Remove the banoffi pie from the refrigerator, run it along the walls of the form with a sharp knife, remove the ring. It remains to cut the dessert into portioned pieces, like a pie, and serve with tea or coffee.
