Fatyr is an oriental bread. There are a lot of its varieties. This bread is baked in the oven, tandoor, in a frying pan. Fatyr dough can be kneaded fresh, in milk, yeast. Only one thing is invariable, the dough is always flaky.
It is necessary
- - wheat flour - 0.6 kg;
- - dry yeast - 2 tsp;
- - warm water or milk - 1, 5 glasses;
- - salt - 1 tsp;
- - granulated sugar - 1 tbsp.;
- - vegetable oil - 120 ml.;
- - onions - 2 pcs.;
- - hot peppers, herbs - optional.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare warm water. Pour it into a comfortable deep bowl. Add yeast, a teaspoon of salt and a tablespoon of granulated sugar, stir. Pour in also two tablespoons of vegetable oil.

Sift wheat flour twice on a workbench and slide together. Form a depression in the flour, pour the carefully prepared water into it. Substitute for soft dough. To expand the dough, leave it in a warm place for 60 minutes.
Step 3
While the dough is ripening, prepare the filling. To do this, peel and wash the onions. Slice both heads into thin quarter rings. Heat a skillet with a little vegetable oil. Put the chopped onion on its surface, fry. It is not necessary to bring the onion slices to a golden color; it is enough to bring the product to softness. Remove the fried onions and cool.
Step 4
You can fry the onions using lamb fat, to do this, reduce the amount of vegetable oil, add fat tail fat, cut into pieces. As soon as the fat is melted, remove the greaves, put the onion. In the future, greaves can be used together with cooled onions.
Step 5
Pound the finished dough. Divide the piece into two equal parts. Roll the dough into a thin tortilla, top with the onion and butter. Arrange greaves, spices, if desired. Roll the blank into a roll, wrapping it in the form of a snail, and bend the free edge down. Next, knead the product into a cake with your hands. Make tattoos on the surface of the semi-finished product.
