Carrot roll with cheese and herbs is a healthy, light and tasty snack that will be a good addition to your lunch or dinner. Cooking such a roll is not long - an hour and a half, special ingredients are not required.
It is necessary
- - 500 g of carrots;
- - 175 g cream cheese;
- - 50 g butter;
- - 4 sprigs of parsley, dill;
- - 2 cloves of garlic;
- - 1 egg;
- - pepper, salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the carrots, rub them on a coarse grater. Heat the butter in a skillet, fry the carrots for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then transfer the carrots to a bowl and chill completely.
Step 2
Divide the egg into white and yolk. Beat the yolk, add to the carrot. Season with salt and pepper to taste, stir the carrot mass. Whisk the egg white until firm peaks form, add to the carrots, stir gently from bottom to top.
Step 3
Line a baking sheet with baking paper, place the carrot mass on top, flatten with a spatula to form a rectangle. Put the baking sheet in the oven, bake at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Step 4
The carrot crust is being prepared, while you can do the cream for the roll. Place the curd cheese in a bowl, add chopped parsley and dill. Peel the garlic, pass it through a press, also send it to the cream, mix everything thoroughly.
Step 5
Remove the finished carrot crust, turn it over onto a new parchment sheet, cover with a wet towel and leave to cool. Then carefully remove the towel, spread the cheese filling on the cake. Roll gently with paper. Wrap in foil, refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 6
Cut chilled carrot roll with cheese and herbs into portions, serve as a snack.
