How to surprise your guests on any occasion? It is enough just to decorate the table in an elegant way. This is done very easily. For example, an ordinary salad can be decorated in the form of some kind of animal. It is very simple in this regard to make a "Turtle" salad.
It contains mayonnaise. But if you replace it with sour cream, then the dish is perfect for a children's table.
It is necessary
- - chicken fillet 200 g
- - eggs 4 pcs.
- - apples 250 g
- - onion 150 g
- - cheese 100 g
- - walnuts 100 g
- - mayonnaise
- - salt
Instructions
Step 1
Boil chicken fillet in salted water, cool and chop finely.
Step 2
Chop the onion into small cubes, pour boiling water over and let stand for 10 minutes. Boiling water will remove unpleasant bitterness, but leave a crunch.
Step 3
Boil the eggs, cool and separate the whites from the yolks. Grate both those and others separately on a fine grater.
Step 4
Grate the cheese as well. Hard cheeses work best.
Step 5
Grate the apple.
Step 6
Chop the walnut kernels thoroughly and leave only a few kernels intact.
Step 7
Lay the salad in layers on a flat dish, forming an oval: proteins, fillets, onions, apples, cheese, yolks. Sprinkle everything on top with chopped walnuts.
Step 8
The salad needs to be decorated to make it look like a turtle. Mix a spoonful of grated cheese and a little mayonnaise and roll into a small ball that will be the turtle's head. Black peppercorns are suitable as eyes. The remaining whole walnut kernels will serve as paws.
Step 9
Sprinkle the salad around with chopped herbs.
