If earlier red caviar appeared on the tables of Russians only on holidays, but now this food product has become an everyday, frequent guest among the main dishes. The time has come not only for the use of caviar as a component of a sandwich with butter or on a piece of toast, croutons. Now red caviar can be decorated much more beautifully and more interestingly before serving.
Instructions
Step 1
Instead of croutons, toasts, a thin slice of white wheat or rye bread, use puff baskets as a backing for caviar. Such baskets can be made in the form of a triangle, square, circle. Use a commercially available puff pastry (yeast-free) or make a homemade recipe. Puff pastry products are baked and cooled. If necessary, a small recess is made inside the product. Then caviar is laid out on them.
Step 2
Make a different kind of caviar pad. Tint the whipped 30% cream (no sugar) with fresh herb juice or curry. On such a "pillow" squeezed out of a pastry bag, carefully put the caviar with a teaspoon. Or grind the tuna meat in a blender, mix it with a spoon or two of whipped cream. It will also make a great underlay for red caviar.
Step 3
Crackers can serve as a base for caviar. Stir the curd cheese with the butter. Spread the mixture over the unsweetened crackers and spoon the caviar on top. Even sandwiches prepared in this way for the festive table will have time to soak well.
Step 4
Prepare tartlets - shortcrust pastry baskets. Shortcrust pastry can either be bought ready-made or you can cook it yourself. Ready-made tartlets are bought in supermarkets. Unsweetened dough for shortcrust pastry under tartlets is prepared from butter, two tablespoons of sour cream, one egg, a pinch of salt and flour until an elastic dough. Let the dough stand for a little while in the cold, then place the thin dough slices, cut out by a glass, into the molds. Each mold is filled with peas so that the tartlet does not lose its shape, and baked.
Step 5
Fill the cooled tartlets with caviar. Decorate the top with a choice of slices of lightly salted cucumber, a slice of lemon, a sprig of herbs. You can first fill the tartlets with cream, combined with caviar, then put the caviar itself on top.
Step 6
Cut a fresh cucumber into large circles. Use a spoon to make a depression inside each piece. Place the caviar inside the groove. So the cucumber "cups" with red caviar are ready.
Step 7
Serve the caviar in boats of purple sweet onions. To do this, peel the onion, cut it in half, carefully disassemble it into petals. Combine sour cream with finely chopped herbs. Put sour cream cream in each onion boat, on top - half a teaspoon of red caviar.
