Cabbage rolls are a versatile dish that can be served not only on a festive, but also on an everyday table. Many housewives cook cabbage rolls on the stove, but you can move away from the usual recipe and cook the dish in the oven. It will turn out much tastier, try it.

It is necessary

  • -1 kg of minced meat,
  • -1 glass of rice
  • -2 onions,
  • -2 carrots,
  • -2 tbsp. tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • -1 egg,
  • -1 glass of sour cream,
  • -3 tbsp. tablespoons of tomato paste,
  • -4 teaspoons of salt (less, see to taste),
  • -2 teaspoons of dry spices,
  • -2 bay leaves,
  • -greens to taste,
  • -1 white cabbage.

Instructions

Step 1

Wash the herbs well. Peel the onions and carrots.

Step 2

Rinse the rice. Pour two glasses of water over the rice and cook over low heat. After the water has evaporated, remove the pot of rice from the heat and leave to cool.

Step 3

Minced meat for stuffed cabbage can be taken ready-made, but if desired, scroll the meat in a meat grinder. Minced meat can be either mixed or from one type of meat.

Step 4

Cut off the stalk from the head. Remove a couple of sheets, they are needed for minced meat. Pour the cabbage (whole, no need to cut) with water, put on fire and boil.

Step 5

Finely chop the cabbage leaves left for minced meat. Cut the peeled onion into cubes. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

Step 6

Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, put chopped cabbage leaves, onion cubes and grated carrots, season with dry spices and two tablespoons of salt, mix. Fry vegetables, covered, over low heat for 15 minutes, cool.

Step 7

Chop dill or any other greens.

Step 8

Put minced meat, rice, fried vegetables, chopped dill and one egg in a large cup or saucepan, mix well.

Step 9

Carefully remove the leaves from the boiled cabbage, cut into two parts, cut out dense veins.

To make stuffed cabbage rolls, take a deep heat-resistant container that can be closed with a lid. Put cabbage leaves in a heat-resistant container, add two tablespoons of vegetable oil.

Step 11

Take turns taking a portion of the minced meat and wrap it in a cabbage leaf, thereby forming a cabbage roll. Put the cabbage rolls in a mold, put the lavrushka, season with two teaspoons of salt and ground black pepper (to taste), pour a glass of sour cream and tomato paste diluted in water. Tomato juice should cover all cabbage rolls. Place the lid on the cabbage roll.

Step 12

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the tin of cabbage rolls in the oven for an hour. Decorate the finished cabbage rolls with fresh herbs.
