To prepare pilaf, we need:

  • 2 cups rice
  • 50 gr. white raisins
  • 100 g dark raisins
  • 3 medium onions,
  • 200 gr. carrots,
  • 1 bell pepper,
  • 3 cloves of garlic,
  • dried barberry,
  • ground black pepper
  • 100 g vegetable oil
  • salt,
  • dill and parsley.

Cooking method

We take rice, wash at least 5 times. We sort out raisins and dried barberry, throw away the bad berries and wash them well. Peel and chop the onion along the onion. Wash the carrots, peel and chop into large strips. We wash the sweet bell peppers, clean out the seeds and cut them into cubes. We clean the garlic. We wash and dry the dill and parsley. Boil water in a separate saucepan. Heat the vegetable oil in a cauldron, put the chopped onion there and fry, stirring often.

When the onion turns golden brown, put all the carrots, stir and fry. Mix the rice with raisins and barberry, pour an even layer on the onion and carrot, salt, stick the garlic cloves into the rice, pepper a little and carefully pour in the boiling water. The water should cover the rice by 2 centimeters. Close the lid and boil until the broth is all gone from above. After that, put the dill and parsley greens, make the smallest fire and steam for 20-25 minutes. Our pilaf is ready.
