Lentils are a vegetable protein-rich product that can be cooked for both the second and the first. Light lentil soup is a healthy and tasty dietary dish that will appeal to both adults and children.
It is necessary
- Lentils - 300 gr.,
- Carrots - 2 pcs.,
- Onions - 1 pc.,
- Sunflower oil - 1 tbsp the spoon,
- Potatoes - 3-4 pcs.,
- Bay leaf - 3 pcs.,
- Ground black pepper - ½ teaspoon,
- Salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the lentils, put in a saucepan and pour 3 liters of boiling water over. After boiling, add the bay leaf, close the pan with a lid, continue to cook the lentils over low heat.
Step 2
Peel the potatoes, rinse, cut into small cubes. Add to lentils 10 minutes after boiling.
Step 3
Peel the onion, chop finely. Heat a frying pan, pour oil, stew the onion until transparent. Peel the carrots, grate on a coarse grater, add to the onion. Saute vegetables for 5-7 minutes. Add frying to lentils and potatoes 10 minutes after boiling the potatoes.
Step 4
Add salt, pepper, cook the soup for another 10 minutes after boiling. When serving, the lentil soup can be garnished with chopped parsley or cilantro.
