It is necessary

  • - potatoes - 1 kg;
  • - onion - ½ head;
  • - flour - 2 tablespoons;
  • - eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • - salt, pepper - to taste;
  • - vegetable oil for frying.

Instructions

Step 1

Peel the potatoes, rinse and rub on a coarse or fine grater. It is better not to use young potatoes, it is better to take tubers of an old crop. If you only have young potatoes on hand, include one tablespoon of starch in the recipe, which will need to be added along with the flour.

Step 2

Grate half a medium onion on a fine grater and mix with potatoes. Onions in the recipe play not only the role of a flavoring addition. It is he who prevents peeled potatoes from acquiring a characteristic grayish tint. Thanks to this, the pancakes are obtained with a beautiful golden color.

Step 3

Put the potatoes with onions in a sieve and let the juice drain. You can squeeze out the mass a little, all the excess moisture should go away. Then we transfer the mass to a bowl.

Stir the eggs until smooth, without beating, and add to the potatoes. Pour flour and salt there. You can add black pepper and other spices to taste. Mix everything thoroughly.
