You will need a water bath to make the punch. If you do not have a special device for this purpose, take a medium-sized saucepan, put a smaller saucepan in it and fill the gap between their walls with hot water.
Step 3
Mash the yolk with sugar well, mix it with cream, put the mixture in a water bath. Make sure that the liquid is only heated, but do not let it boil to avoid curdling the yolk.
Step 4
Begin whipping the heating cream, continue whipping until the mixture is frothed. Pour the egg-cream mixture into a punch glass, add rum to it, stir and serve the hot punch immediately.
