How to make a cake

It is necessary

    • For the cake:
    • ready-made round cakes with a diameter of 18-20 cm
    • soaking syrup
    • cream
    • fruits or berries (strawberries
    • cherry
    • raspberries
    • peaches
    • bananas)
    • Moreover:
    • Cling film
    • Barbie doll
    • Cardboard Cake Backing
    • Food colorings
    • Pastry bags and nozzles ("star"
    • "sheet"
    • "point")

Instructions

Step 1

Collect the cake. To do this, wash and dry the berries or fruits that you decide to use. Small berries can be used whole, large ones can be cut in half. If you are making a cake with peaches or bananas, cut them into thin slices (1-2 mm). Saturate the cakes with chilled syrup, starting at the rim of the crust. For one cake, you need 5-7 tablespoons of syrup. Leave some syrup on top of the crust. Place the first crust on a cardboard backing. Place three tablespoons of cream on top of it and smooth out thoroughly with a wide knife or spatula. Place the fruit or berries of your choice on top. Next, lay the second cake layer, again cream, again berries. Repeat for all cakes except the top. Try to level the cream as carefully as possible so that the cakes lie flat on top of each other. Place the last crust on the soaked side of the berries and pour the remaining syrup over the top of the cake. The height of the cake should be at least equal to the length of the Barbie from the sole to the waist, or 3-4 cm larger. Line up the cake again carefully. Wrap it tightly with cling film in several layers so that it holds its shape well and refrigerate for 5-6 hours, pressing down on top with a light weight - for example, a wooden cutting board.

Step 2

Prepare your doll. Wash your chosen Barbie. Lift the doll's arms up and wrap the Barbie's torso and legs properly with plastic wrap. Make a Barbie hair style and carefully wrap the doll's hair in plastic. Draw on a piece of paper a sketch of the dress that Barbie will be wearing.

Step 3

Remove the assembled cake from the refrigerator, remove the foil and carefully trim the cakes with a wide, sharp knife, cutting off all the irregularities. On a piece of paper, draw a circle equal to the circumference of the cake, mark the middle and cut out a circle with a diameter of 5 cm. Place the paper template on the cake and cut a similar circle in the cakes with a sharp thin one. Use tongs or a spoon to remove the center. Again, take a wide knife and cut off the top cakes, shaping them into a skirt: narrow waist - wide bottom. Grind the cut cakes and the removed center in a blender into a creamy mass, add a little condensed milk if necessary. Use a wide knife, spatula or palette knife to level the cake from bottom to top. Refrigerate again for 30-40 minutes.

Step 4

Prepare your decorating tool: piping bags and nozzles. Use food coloring to color the cream. Screw the nozzle onto the piping bag, place the bag in the mug, and turn the edges inside out - this will make it easier to fill with cream. Prepare bags of cream. Take the cake out of the fridge, insert it into the middle of the wrapped Barbie cling film. With a wide knife, spatula or palette knife, prime the cake with cream (white or the color that you chose as the main one for the dress). Pay special attention to the "waist" - the place where the cake joins the doll. Use the leaf attachment to make ruffles. Use the "star" attachment to make flounces, flowers and a "lace" bodice of the dress. Decorate with edible rhinestones if required.

Step 5

Free the hair of the doll from cling film, fix the hair. If necessary, carefully cut off excess cling film from the doll with nail scissors. Use a paper towel to remove any traces of the cream from the backing.

Now you just have to give a wonderful gift to the little birthday girl!
