How to marinate hard cheese
This appetizer can be made when you want something original, but there is no way to mess around in the kitchen for a long time.
Ingredients
- 250 g of hard cheese (maasdam, emmenthal, gouda or any other);
- 100 ml olive oil;
- 3 tbsp. l. lemon juice;
- 1, 5 Art. l. liquid honey;
- 1 tbsp. l. blends of italian herbs
Cooking method
- First, let's make the marinade. To do this, mix olive oil, lemon juice, honey and Italian herbs.
- Now we will cut the cheese into small "bricks" 1, 5 cm thick.
- Put the "bricks" on a dish and pour over the marinade. Let the cheese marinate for an hour and serve!
How to make pickled feta
Feta marinated in this way can be added to light vegetable salads.
Ingredients
- 400 g feta cheese;
- 150 ml olive oil;
- 5 cloves of garlic;
- Provencal herbs;
- ground black pepper
Cooking method
- Cut the cheese into small neat cubes.
- Peel the garlic and cut into thin petals.
- Put feta cubes in a clean dry jar, sprinkle with Provencal herbs, garlic petals and pepper.
- Pour the feta with olive oil, so that it covers the cheese.
- Close the jar with a lid and place it in the refrigerator for at least a day. The snack can be kept in the refrigerator for 2 weeks.
How to make pickled mozzarella
You can also add some lemon zest to this flavorful snack to make it even spicier. When you have finished eating all of the mozzarella, do not pour out the remaining oil. Better use it for salad dressing - it will be incredibly tasty!
Ingredients
- 200 g mozzarella;
- 1 bunch of cilantro;
- 100 ml olive oil;
- 3 tbsp lemon juice;
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar;
- 3 tbsp soy sauce;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- 1/3 chilli pod
Cooking method
- Chop the garlic into thin petals, crush the chili pepper in a mortar, chop the cilantro.
- Prepare the marinade by mixing soy sauce with lemon juice and vinegar.
- Cut the mozzarella into small pieces. If you have it in small balls, then you can use them entirely.
- Put the mozzarella in the marinade, add garlic, pepper and chopped cilantro. Mix everything and leave for 20-30 minutes so that the mozzarella absorbs all the aromas.
- Put the mozzarella in a dry jar, add oil and close the lid. An hour later, the snack can already be served. You need to store it in the refrigerator.
How to make pickled tofu cheese
A very tasty and impossibly easy to prepare snack.
Ingredients
- 250 g of tofu cheese;
- 100 ml olive oil;
- 1 tbsp liquid honey;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- 1 tbsp your favorite dry herbs (I recommend a mixture of oregano, thyme, basil, and rosemary);
- 1 sun-dried tomato;
- 1 tbsp soy sauce;
- 1 lemon
Cooking method
- Making a marinade: mix olive oil with liquid honey, juice of one lemon and soy sauce.
- Finely chop the sun-dried tomato and garlic. Mix them with herbs and add to the marinade.
- Cut the tofu cheese into 1 cm thick slices. Put it in a jar, fill it with marinade, cover with a lid and put it in the refrigerator. Serve in a few hours!
