Exotic fruits of Thailand to everyone's taste. One loses peace from the soft and sweet pineapple, the second falls in love with a suspiciously smelling durian, the third dreams of a translucent delicate "dragon's eye". And everyone wants to bring them to family and friends. How to deliver delicate tropical creatures home? Pretty simple. You just need to prepare.

It is necessary

Plastic container or basket, tote bag or black plastic bag, plastic household ties, fruit

Instructions

Step 1

For transportation, choose those fruits that can lie down for a day or two and not turn sour. For example, it can be pineapple, mango, lychee, rambutan, longan, dragon fruit, guava, mangosteen, papaya, rakam, santol, tamarind, tangerine, sapodilla, pomelo, shampoo. All of them perfectly tolerate transportation, so be guided by your own taste. Durian should definitely not be transported. Plates with this fruit, crossed out with a red cross (they prohibit entry with durian into the premises), hang everywhere in Thailand, including at the airport.

Step 2

Purchase a container or fruit basket locally in Thailand. They are sold both in large supermarkets and in small shops. Of course, in a large store, the choice of containers in terms of volume and shape is much larger, and the price may be lower. Grab an opaque plastic bag or large shopping bag from home and bring it to Thailand along with special disposable plastic ties purchased in advance from the hardware store.

Step 3

Place the fruit neatly in the basket. Lay the heavier and less prone to crushing fruits down so that they do not press too hard on each other. The container should be filled as much as possible so that the fruit does not move freely with the lid closed. Pack the fruit basket in a large bag.

Step 4

If you don't have a bag, put the fruit in a black plastic bag (so the contents get less attention). Place the bag in a container. Secure the lid of the fruit container with ties. The fruit is ready for check-in.

Step 5

There are no official restrictions on the export and import of Thai fruits today. However, in order not to be trapped, at the airport of arrival of a flight from Thailand, before leaving on vacation, find out: have there been any changes in the rules of customs control?

Step 6

Another subtlety: excess baggage. Do not forget about the existing restrictions on the allowed free baggage allowance - 23 kg. And this should be one place. For the second and subsequent ones, a substantial surcharge is taken.
