It is necessary

    • water 1 liter;
    • tea 4 bags or 2 teaspoons of tea leaves;
    • mint 1 cup;
    • 1/4 cup sugar;
    • 1/4 cup lime juice
    • ice.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the fresh mint sprigs thoroughly, shake off the water and remove dried or wilted parts. Chop the mint with a knife. Leave a few whole leaves for decoration. Rinse the limes and squeeze out the juice using a citrus juicer. Optionally, add lime zest to your tea.

Step 2

Pour a liter of clean water into a saucepan. Add black tea bags, a glass of crushed mint and sugar to it. Put on fire, bring to a boil and keep on medium heat for fifteen minutes. Refrigerate.

Step 3

Remove the tea bags. If you are using tea leaves instead of tea bags, strain the drink after cooling, removing all its particles and mint. In this case, you will need more whole mint leaves for decoration.

Step 4

Add freshly squeezed lime juice to your tea. Fill tall glasses with ice, pour mint-lime tea, and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Step 5

To add even more freshness to this drink, you can add, for example, ginger. Take a fresh root, wash and peel it off. Chop the root with a knife or grate on a coarse or fine grater. After making the tea and chilling it, add the chopped ginger and let it sit in the refrigerator for two hours. Ginger will add a special spicy flavor that will help you to relieve your thirst.
