Milk is an irreplaceable product. The only pity is that it quickly deteriorates and has the ability to absorb extraneous odors. But there are several ways you can preserve milk so it stays fresh longer.
It is necessary
Enamel or earthenware, refrigerator, salt, gauze
Instructions
Step 1
Milk should be kept as far away as possible from foods that have a strong smell, such as sausages, pickles, cheeses and of course fish. Milk very strongly absorbs all odors and starts to deteriorate.
Step 2
Store milk in the refrigerator, preferably in an earthenware or enamel container. Utensils play a big role in keeping milk fresh. It should be intact, without chips or cracks. It is necessary to store milk in a dark place, since vitamins begin to break down in it in the light, and the milk begins to quickly disappear.
Step 3
If for some reason there is no refrigerator or a cool place, and the milk needs to be kept fresh for several days, then it should be poured into an enamel bowl and brought to a boil twice a day, while stirring continuously. After boiling, the milk must be covered with a lid.
Step 4
You can improve the taste of burnt milk. Put the pot of milk in a bowl of water and add a pinch of salt to the milk. You can also strain the milk several times through cheesecloth folded in several layers. The gauze should be washed after each straining in cold water, and it is advisable to strain the milk about 5 times.
