Traditional quince compote

This recipe is very simple, you will need (for 1 liter of compote):

- quince - 2 fruits;

- granulated sugar - 0.5 tbsp.;

Rinse the quince fruits in such a way that no fluff remains on the peel, you do not need to peel, but be sure to remove the core and the seeds it contains. Cut the fruit into several pieces depending on the size of the fruit.

In the meantime, sterilize the jars and lids, then put the quince in them so that they take up a third of the jar. Pour 0.5 cups of granulated sugar into a jar. Boil water and fill the jars, then immediately roll up, turn upside down and place in something warm. Quince compote according to the classic recipe is ready.

Quince and apple compote

Ingredients for compote (for 3 l):

- 500 g of quince;

- 500 g of apples;

- 400 g of sugar;

- water;

- 1 tbsp. l. salt.

Peel the quince, cut into small slices and place in salted water so that the fruits do not darken in the future. Salt must be added to the water at the following rate: 1 tbsp is needed for 2 liters of water. l. salt. Then rinse the quince and boil for 10 minutes.

Wash the apples and peel them, cut them into wedges and place them in boiling water for a few minutes.

Put quince and apples in sterilized jars. Prepare sugar syrup: dissolve sugar in water and bring to a boil. Pour this syrup over the fruit in a jar, then close the lids, refrigerate and store.

Quince and peach compote

Required ingredients (for 3L):

- 500 g of quince;

- 500 g of peaches;

- 400 g of sugar;

- water.

Peel the quince and divide into small equal parts, then throw in salted water (for 2 liters of water, 1 tablespoon of salt). Scald the peaches with boiling water, then peel them, cut in half and remove the seeds, then cut into large wedges.

Boil quince fruits for 10 minutes. Place the quince and peaches in sterilized jars, top with boiling sugar syrup, then roll up the jars and store.

This quince and peach compote is very good for children. According to the same recipe, you can prepare a quince compote with other fruits: pear, grapes, dogwood, etc.

Spicy quince compote

You will need:

- 1 kg of quince;

- 1, 5 Art. Sahara;

- ½ tsp. citric acid;

- cinnamon, nutmeg (to taste);

- water.

Rinse the quince fruits, remove the peel, remove the core and cut into large slices. Put water on the stove, add sugar and quince, then add citric acid, cinnamon and nutmeg (optional). Cook for about 2-3 minutes.

Sterilize jars and lids. Arrange the quince in the jars, fill with syrup and immediately roll up the jars, then turn over and insulate.
