Anise ordinary, despite the name, the plant is not at all ordinary. It has a good expectorant, bactericidal, digestive, laxative effect. It contains anisic acid and many biologically active substances.
For the healing of the whole body, anise tincture is used. It is taken in 1 tbsp. before meals. It has a beneficial effect on the kidneys, liver, pancreas, as well as the eyes and lungs, and serves as a prophylactic against scurvy. The tincture is made as follows: half a glass of seeds or a glass of grass is poured into 0.5 liters of vodka and insisted in a dark place for 2 weeks.
In the prevention and treatment of colds, you need to use anise infusion. Pour a teaspoon of fruits or leaves with 50 ml of boiling water and leave for 20 minutes. The infusion diluted with water can be used when rinsing, or taken internally in 50 ml half an hour before meals. Helps with tuberculosis, bronchitis, asthma and other lung diseases.
A decoction of anise seeds, mixed with egg white, is used to treat skin diseases, burns, and allergic reactions. But before using such a decoction, it is still better to consult a doctor.
Anise is also used for food. It is found in many sauces and condiments. Anise oil is used for pickling cucumbers and tomatoes. There are even healing anise sandwiches. They are prepared like this: sprinkle a dry mixture of anise leaves and fruits on a slice of bread, spread with butter.
