It is necessary

  • - 250 g of chicken liver;
  • - 150 ml cream 35% fat;
  • - 2 slices of white bread;
  • - 1 onion;
  • - 2 eggs;
  • - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of butter;
  • - salt, nutmeg, ground black pepper.
  • For jelly:
  • - 250 g of black currant;
  • - 125 g of sugar;
  • - 50 ml of dry red wine;
  • - 5 g of instant gelatin.

Instructions

Step 1

Cut the chicken liver into pieces, fry for 2-3 minutes in butter. Then add one chopped onion, continue to fry for a couple of minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 2

Cut white bread without crusts into small pieces. Place the chicken liver and onions in a blender. Add chunks of bread, cream, eggs, nutmeg. Season with pepper and salt to taste, chop until creamy puree. Coat the mold with oil and pour the resulting mixture into it.

Step 3

Fill a baking sheet with hot water, place the pate dish, cover it with foil, put in the oven for 30-45 minutes. Preheat the oven to medium temperature. Then take out the mold, cool the chicken liver pate.

Step 4

Pour dry red wine into a small saucepan, add sugar, black currant berries, put on fire. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Then reduce heat under a saucepan, continue to cook until thickened. Add instant gelatin, stir quickly, remove from heat. Cool to room temperature.

Step 5

Pour the resulting currant mixture on a pat, put the mold in the refrigerator to freeze the dish. Serve Blackcurrant Chicken Liver Pate as a snack. This appetizer goes well with various wines.
