Many have seen on the shelves a semi-finished product with the name
"Cordon Blue", but did not dare to buy because of the rather high price and incomprehensible composition. "Cordon Blue" is a chicken breast schnitzel stuffed with ham and cheese, you can cook it yourself.
It is necessary
- - chicken fillet - 0.5 kg;
- - eggs - 2 pcs;
- - hard cheese - 150 g;
- - ham - 150 g;
- - breadcrumbs - 6 tablespoons;
- - flour - 3-4 tablespoons;
- - salt, chicken seasoning, ground black pepper;
- - sunflower oil.
- - hammer for beating;
- - frying pan;
- - cutting board;
- - knife;
- - fork;
- - A4 sheet - 2 pcs;
- - plate;
- - wooden spatula.
Instructions
Step 1
We wash the chicken fillet, dry it with a paper towel and cut it into pieces 1-1.5 cm thick. Lightly beat the meat on both sides (the pieces should remain intact), salt and sprinkle with seasonings. To prevent pieces of meat from scattering and sticking to the hammer, you can cover the meat with cling film or a bag.
Step 2
Cut the ham and cheese into 0.5 cm thick slices. Their size should be slightly less than half of the resulting chops.
Step 3
Beat the eggs with a fork until smooth, add a little salt to them. You can add 1-2 tbsp. water, then the consistency will be more uniform. We take the chop, put cheese and ham on one half of it and fold it in half.
Step 4
Pour flour and bread crumbs on A4 sheets (on plates). Gently dip the chop in an egg and immediately roll in flour. Then again in the egg and breadcrumbs.
Step 5
In a deep frying pan, heat the sunflower oil to a boil. Put "Cordon Blue" in it and fry on both sides until crisp. Then you can turn off the gas and darken for a few minutes under the lid. It can be served both hot and cold. "Cordon Blue" will be an excellent addition to pasta or mashed potatoes.
