Step 2
To prepare the cream, mix the milk with the egg. The egg in milk must be mixed thoroughly, then when heated, the mixture will not burn and be taken in lumps. We put the mixture on fire and dissolve the sugar in it. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. After the mixture has boiled, cook for another 5 - 7 minutes. The finished syrup should thicken and bubble. Pour it into a suitable bowl and cover with cling film, cool.
Step 3
Beat soft butter with a mixer until fluffy. Continuing to beat, add the cooled syrup each tablespoon. The cream should be lush and thick.
Step 4
We begin to collect the cake. Spread the cling film in several layers on the table. We will lay out the layers of the cake on it. We spread a layer of strips, grease them with cream. On top, another layer of stripes, cream, and so on, until the stripes run out.
Step 5
We take the edges of the film and form a log, pressing down slightly, giving it a rounded shape. You don't need to press too hard, the puff strips are very fragile. We wrap the film tightly, wrap the ends up and put them in the refrigerator for impregnation for 4 - 5 hours, but better at night.
Step 6
We release the soaked cake from the film, put it on a dish and sprinkle with crumbs from puff strips. You can decorate the cake with what you have at your fingertips. You can make decorations from chocolate glaze, or from the cream with which the cake was impregnated. Add dyes to the cream and use a pastry bag to paint the cake. You can use fresh berries, nuts.
