Haddock is the closest relative of cod, so it has the same light-colored meat, fewer bones and less fat. Despite the latter, fish dishes are still juicy. Stew it with vegetables, and you will see for yourself. To prepare a complete healthy meal, you will need:

- 1.5 kg of haddock;

- 1 large carrot;

- 2 medium onion heads;

- 1, 5 glasses of water;

- 300 g sour cream;

- 1 bell pepper;

- 2 bay leaves;

- boning flour;

- greens;

- pepper, salt;

- vegetable oil.

Wash the fish, cut into portions, brush them with a dry mixture of pepper and salt on all sides. Pour the flour into a bowl, roll the fish in it.

If the fish is not gutted, pre-clean it, remove the entrails and head.

Gently place the slices in a skillet with heated vegetable oil, fry on both sides until light blush.

Peel the vegetables, rinse, remove the seeds from the pepper. Cut it and the onion into small cubes, and the carrots into thin strips or rub on the large holes of the grater. Pour oil into another pan, warm it up a little, put vegetables, fry them until transparent.

Put the pieces of fish, and on them bay leaves, in an even layer of vegetables, in a saucepan with a thick bottom. Stir the sour cream with water, add a little salt, pour on top of the vegetables. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer for 35 minutes.

When serving, sprinkle with chopped herbs.

The stuffed baked haddock is admirable too. Take:

- 2 boiled potatoes in their uniforms;

- 1 kg of haddock;

- 1 tbsp. lemon juice;

- a small bunch of green onions;

- pepper salt;

- 0.5 tsp thyme seeds.

Rinse the chopped haddock, blot the moisture with a towel, rub with pepper, salt. Peel the potatoes, cut into small squares, put them in the belly of the fish. Sprinkle lemon juice on top, sprinkle with caraway seeds, wrap in foil.

Preheat the oven to 220 ° C, bake the fish for 45 minutes on the wire rack. Place cooked haddock on a tray or large plate and serve with finely chopped green onions sprinkled on top.

Salad is another original haddock dish. Here's what it contains:

- 300 g haddock fillet;

- 1 pickled cucumber;

- 2 bell peppers;

- 2 tbsp. sesame oil and lemon juice;

- 0.5 tsp marjoram;

- salt.

Pour water into a saucepan, add salt, put haddock fillets cut into wide pieces. Boil over low heat for 20 minutes after boiling. After that, remove, cool and finely chop the fish.

Chop the cucumber into small cubes, and the peppers, freed from seeds, into thin strips. Place vegetables and fish in a salad bowl. Prepare a dressing, for it, mix marjoram, salt, sesame oil and lemon juice, whisk lightly. Pour the sauce over the salad, stir, let it brew in the refrigerator for half an hour, after which you can serve.

The fillet will also be needed for the next dish, try haddock in a ruddy batter. For this dish, take:

- 600 g haddock fillet;

- 2 tbsp. flour and sour cream;

- 1 egg;

- pepper, salt.

Rinse the fillet, dry, cut into portions. Prepare the batter by mixing all the other ingredients with a mixer until smooth. Dip slices in batter on all sides, fry in hot sunflower oil over low heat on both sides until golden brown.
