Homemade pates are simple-looking dishes, but with the help of various ingredients they can be easily turned into a delicacy. An exquisite option for a festive table will be champignon pate with spices.
It is necessary
- Ingredients for a 180-200 ml jar:
- - a tablespoon of butter;
- - half an onion;
- - 150 g of champignons;
- - a clove of garlic;
- - half a tablespoon of chopped thyme;
- - a pinch of nutmeg;
- - a spoonful of lemon juice;
- - 60 ml of Marsala wine;
- - 50 g of curd cheese without additives (like Philadelphia);
- - salt and pepper to taste.
- Additionally;
- - 1, 5 tablespoons of melted butter;
- - a sprig of thyme.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the champignons and cut into slices, chop the onion. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat and fry the onion in it under the lid, stirring occasionally.
Step 2
When the onion becomes translucent, increase the heat and put the mushrooms in the pan. We fry them for about 8-10 minutes, so that the mushrooms become soft and excess moisture evaporates.
Step 3
Add squeezed garlic, thyme, nutmeg, stir and after a minute pour in wine and lemon juice. We fry for another 5 minutes.
Step 4
Save a few pieces of champignon for decoration, transfer the rest to the blender bowl. Salt and pepper to taste, add curd cheese and beat the ingredients until a smooth cream.
Step 5
We transfer the finished pate into a jar, fill it with butter melted in a microwave oven, decorate with 1-2 mushrooms and a sprig of thyme.
Making a pate is a simple process, and the result exceeds all expectations.
