Beetroot latte (or, as it is also called, pink latte) is one of the most fashionable and relevant alternatives to coffee. It is perfect for those who have ditched caffeine for a healthy lifestyle, but want to stay alert and active all day.
Unfortunately, coffee, so familiar and loved by everyone, is not the healthiest drink. Useful in small amounts, when taken regularly in large doses, it can cause depletion of nerve cells.
This is why people started looking for healthier substitutes for caffeine. At first, coffee was replaced by matcha green tea, and now there is a new drink - beet latte.
It should be noted that the taste of a beetroot latte is not at all similar to that of traditional coffee. But its unusual aftertaste and pleasant aroma will certainly appeal to fans of exotic drinks.
In addition, pink latte quickly became in high demand among those looking to lose weight, as it contains very few calories. Such a drink with the addition of ginger and other spices is especially useful, as it speeds up metabolism and increases the tone of the body.
The recipe for this drink is extremely simple.
You will need:
- almond milk - 200 ml
- beets - 1 pc.
- honey - 1 tsp
- cinnamon
- maple syrup - to taste
Step 1
First, prepare the beetroot sauce. In a blender, combine the ginger, boiled and chopped beets, almond milk, honey and cinnamon.
Step 2
Strain the sauce, pour into a saucepan and heat. Do not bring to a boil.
Step 3
Remove from heat, add vanilla and maple syrup. The pink latte is ready. Pour into a cup and enjoy!
