When the milk boils, turn the heat down. Cover the saucepan with a lid and simmer until tender. Determine readiness by piercing the liver with a knife or fork. if blood oozes, the liver is not ready If a clear broth is flowing, it's time to turn it off.

The liver is very tender. You can serve boiled potatoes with it. Peel the potatoes, wash, cut into large pieces and put in cold water to cook. Throw in the bay leaf and add a little salt.
