These savory biscuits are great for breakfast and as a light snack throughout the day. The main secret of the recipe is corn flour, which makes the biscuits crispy, cheese and cream add a creamy flavor to the biscuits, and small pieces of red and green chili peppers add a pungent taste.

It is necessary

  • For 10-12 pieces of cookies:
  • - 1 1/3 cups wheat flour;
  • - 1/4 cup cornmeal;
  • - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar;
  • - 2 tsp baking powder;
  • - 1/2 teaspoon of salt;
  • - 1 small hot red pepper;
  • - 1 small hot green pepper;
  • - 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese (divided into 2 parts: 1 1/4 cups and 1/4 cups);
  • - 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp. tablespoons of heavy cream (200 ml).

Instructions

Step 1

Turn on the oven to heat up to 220 ° C. Take a bowl, combine wheat and corn flour, salt, sugar, baking powder. Cut the red and green hot peppers in half, remove the seeds (they are not needed), cut the pod into small cubes. Add pepper and 1 1/4 cups grated cheddar cheese to the mixture.

Step 2

Gradually pour 3/4 cup cream into the flour mixture, knead the dough. It should be sticky and not very dense.

Step 3

Place the dough on the table, lightly floured. Shape the dough so that it softens and separates normally from your hands.

Step 4

Roll out the dough 2-2.5 cm wide on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Take a glass or a round mold and cut out the circles (if you wish, you can make a rectangular, triangular, oval shape). Leave a distance of 3-4 cm between the cut out dough. Spread with a brush 2 tbsp. tablespoons of cream on top of all the products and sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese.

Step 5

Bake at 220 ° C for 11-12 minutes until golden brown and until cheese is melted.
