A sandwich or a Russian-style sandwich is a great breakfast dish. Hawaiian sandwich has a variety of fruits in its composition, which makes it delicious and healthy. You can choose any fruit for this dessert to your taste.
Sandwich Ingredients:
- Frozen puff pastry (partially thawed) - 0.5 kg;
- Large egg - 1 pc;
- Powdered sugar.
Filler Ingredients:
- Pineapple - ½ fruit;
- Kiwi - 2 fruits;
- Passifruit - 1 piece;
- Ripe mango - 1 piece;
- Egg yolks - 3 pcs;
- Whipped cream - 100 g;
- Flour - 2 teaspoons.
Preparation:
- To make a Hawaiian sandwich, you need to put the oven to preheat to an approximate temperature of 200 degrees. Place a sheet of greaseproof paper (parchment paper) on a baking sheet.
- Puff pastry must be defrosted to the end and rolled out. Divide the rolled dough in half and place on a prepared baking sheet. Spread the dough layer with a silicone brush with a beaten egg and sprinkle with a little sugar.
- Bake in the bottom of the oven for about 20 minutes, until the dough is lightly browned and fluffy. Cut to make 4 bases and 4 tops.
- Peel pineapple and kiwi. Cut the passion fruit in half. Cut off the mango flesh on both sides of the pit, peel off, chop.
- Mash 1 kiwi, ¼ pineapple, ½ mango and passion fruit pulp; use a food processor. Cut the remaining fruit into cubes.
- Meanwhile, combine the egg yolks, sugar and flour. Add to mashed potatoes, beat. Put on fire and cook for 10 minutes, whisk continuously. Refrigerate.
- Whisk in the cream and stir in the chilled fruit puree. Add chopped fruit, stir.
- Place bases on serving bowls. Put the fruit cream on them and cover with tops. Sprinkle icing sugar on the surface of the sandwiches.
