  • - 200 g cheese

Step 1

Knead a firm and elastic dough with flour, salt and water. Lightly moisten hands and flour mixture with vegetable oil. Divide the dough into 6 parts, each of which is rolled out in a thin layer.

Step 2

Fry the minced meat in vegetable oil, add chopped garlic and ketchup. Stir the mixture thoroughly. If you use meat instead of minced meat, then it must be chopped and also fried with garlic and ketchup. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Chop fresh herbs.

Step 3

Place a layer of minced meat, cheese and herbs on the rolled dough. Fold the blanks in half and pinch the edges. Fry each tortilla in vegetable oil until crusty. It is recommended to fry the gözleme for no more than 3 minutes.

Step 4

You can make a festive treat from such Turkish tortillas by serving them on the table with a side dish of fresh vegetables. Gezleme can be stored at room temperature for 24 hours. During this time, the cakes do not lose their taste, remain aromatic and tasty.
