Spicy, bright and elegant jalapeno peppers stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon and baked in the oven are an excellent appetizer that will go perfectly with the New Year's table. It will not require any special culinary skills from you, it will not take much time, but it will certainly delight lovers of strong drinks looking for a worthy accompaniment to a glass of "fire water".
It is necessary
- - 10 jalapeno peppers;
- - 250 g cream cheese;
- - 200 g of grated mozzarella;
- - 100 g of grated Parmesan;
- - 2 cloves of garlic;
- - 1 teaspoon dried ground paprika;
- - 2 teaspoons of chopped parsley;
- - crumbs;
- - 10 slices of smoked bacon.
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180C. Line a baking sheet with baking parchment or a silicone baking mat.
Step 2
Wear rubber gloves, because the pepper you are about to peel is very "angry". Cut each pepper in half lengthwise and carefully remove the seeds. It is in them that the hot capsaicin is found, which gives the pepper a spice.
Step 3
In a mixer bowl, mix cheeses, herbs, paprika flakes and garlic passed through a press into a single mass.
Divide the resulting mass into halves of pepper. Sprinkle each with breadcrumbs and wrap with bacon slices. Secure the aromatic smoked stripes with toothpicks.
Step 4
Place the stuffed jalapenos on a baking sheet and place in the oven. Bake the peppers for 25 minutes, then turn the heat up to 200C and bake for another 10 minutes, until the crumbs are golden brown and the bacon crispy. Serve the stuffed peppers warm, taking out the toothpicks.
