Sometimes you want something sweet for breakfast. If you have pearl barley, add sugar, milk and butter to it, and you get a great dish. You may even love this type of cereal.
It is necessary
- Pearl barley - 1 glass.
- Milk - 2 cups.
- Water - 1 glass.
- Sugar - 3 tablespoons.
- Sunflower oil - 30 gr.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the cereal first. Rinse it and put it in water to soak. The time of the procedure may differ, some leave it on overnight.
Step 2
Now you need to cook cereals in a slow cooker. If you have a slow-cooker with a delayed start, and you want to get porridge in the morning, then it is better to add more water and milk, at least half a glass, of each component.
Step 3
Do not forget to put porridge, milk, water, sugar and butter in the multicooker container. Barley groats are very satisfying, and milk will enhance this quality.
Step 4
Now we need to cook the porridge. Close the lid of the multicooker and turn on the mode suitable for barley cooking. The "Porridge" mode is well suited, but on some, improved models there is also the "Barley porridge" mode. This croup is so unusual that it is often considered separately.
Step 5
When finished, transfer the porridge to a separate saucepan. You can leave it in a slow cooker for simmering - for 20 minutes. Check the readiness of the porridge, if it seems to you that it is not ready, continue cooking.
