Potato pancakes were first prepared in Belarus. Currently, potato pancakes have become popular among residents of Russia, Ukraine and other countries. They can be prepared with various additives, such as fish.

It is necessary

    • potatoes - 10 pcs.;
    • onion - 1 pc.;
    • wheat flour - 1 tablespoon;
    • egg - 1-2 pcs.;
    • fish fillet - 250 g;
    • garlic - 1 clove;
    • cream - 2 tablespoons;
    • butter - 25 g;
    • vegetable or olive oil - 100 ml;
    • champignons - 150 g;
    • salt
    • pepper and other spices;
    • greens.

Instructions

Step 1

Thoroughly wash, peel and dry about 10 medium-sized potatoes with a towel or napkin. Then grate the vegetable. If you have a blender, use it, as this will significantly shorten the cooking time. The amount of shavings depends on your taste.

Step 2

Remove the potato juice. To do this, you need to fold the grated root vegetable into cheesecloth or a fine sieve and carefully strain all the liquid. Transfer the resulting mass to a container. To prevent browning, take one medium-sized onion and chop it finely. Add to potato mass. Pour 1 tablespoon there. wheat flour, add the pre-beaten egg. Season with salt and pepper and mix the ingredients thoroughly. You can add cream and chopped garlic to the potato dough if you wish.

Step 3

Take a fish fillet (preferably small, boneless), dry it with a napkin, mince it. Optionally, you can add fried mushrooms and a boiled egg to the minced fish.

Step 4

Add fish to potato dough. Mix everything thoroughly. Heat the butter in a frying pan, then use a spoon to make small cutlets from the resulting mass and dip them into the heated oil. Fry the pancakes on both sides until golden brown (cooking time about 2 minutes). If you want to remove excess fat, place the potato pancakes on a paper towel. Place the fish pancakes on a platter, garnish with herbs and lemon wedges.
