Tomatoes are the basis for making ketchup. Wash the ripe tomatoes, cut into pieces and place in an aluminum bowl. Put on low heat and boil them. After cool, wipe through a colander. Do not use a meat grinder for this if you want the mass to be homogeneous.

Put the ketchup on fire. After the mass has boiled down to half the volume, add the rest of the sugar and salt and boil until they dissolve. Then stop heating the ketchup and add the vinegar, stirring it thoroughly. Pack it hot in prepared jars. Homemade tomato ketchup is more convenient to close in small jars of 200-300 grams.
