Many people like Toffifee candies - they are a good treat for both adults and children. However, the original product contains milk powder, so it is not suitable for people with lactose intolerance. However, it is quite possible to make these candies at home without adding milk - only hazelnuts, caramel and chocolate.

It is necessary

  • - 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • - 2 tablespoons of molasses or corn syrup
  • - 4 tablespoons coconut milk
  • - 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and a little more to grease the mold
  • - 1 pinch of salt
  • - About 20 hazelnuts
  • - 100 g nougat (from nuts)
  • - Dark chocolate - about 50 grams

Instructions

Step 1

Cook caramel with sugar, corn syrup, coconut milk, and butter. Remember to heat the mixture over very low heat and stir constantly. Let the mixture simmer slowly until it thickens to a sufficient consistency. Be careful - its temperature is around 100 degrees Celsius, so don't try it right away - wait for the caramel to cool slightly.

Step 2

Then you need to put the caramel in the correct shape to make the Toffifee candies. To do this, take any box of round chocolates (its plastic part), or holders for decorative candles with a semicircular depression. Spread the caramel mass over the bottom of the molds, giving them the shape of cups (try to get as close as possible to the store Tofife). Refrigerate until solid.

Step 3

If you couldn't get the nougat ready-made, you can make it yourself. To do this, mix in equal parts dark chocolate and melted nut butter, let the mixture cool slightly. Homemade nougat is quite similar to the taste of the sweet mass present in the factory-made Tofifi sweets.

Step 4

Fill the congealed caramel cups with nougat without taking them out of the molds. Place one hazelnut in each Toffifee and use a knife to drown the nuts in the nougat. Refrigerate until solid.

Step 5

Then in the microwave, melt the dark chocolate to a liquid state, use a spoon or knife to apply to the hardened Toffifee, smooth with a knife to a flat shape. Let the chocolate harden completely. Then you can remove the candies from the mold and serve.
