Winter colds are approaching, during which sometimes you want to feast on berries or fruits! From ordinary grapes, you can make delicious jam for the winter, which can then serve as a filling for a pie, and just a delicious dessert for a cup of hot tea.
It is necessary
- - 3 glasses of water;
- - 1 kg of grapes;
- - 1 1/5 kg of sugar;
- - 2 g vanillin.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a kilogram of grapes. You can choose the variety at your discretion, but it is better, of course, to buy seedless grapes. Rinse the berries under water, remove from the branches and place in an enamel container.
Step 2
Make sugar syrup for the jam. For a kilogram of grapes, you need to take 600 ml of ordinary water and 600 g of granulated sugar (divide the remaining sugar into three parts). Boil the syrup until the sugar thickens and dissolves completely.
Step 3
Pour the prepared berries with hot syrup, leave for 8-9 hours. After that, add the first part of the sugar, put on low heat and cook for 15 minutes - no more. Then again set aside the future jam for the winter for 8 hours. So repeat the procedure twice using all the sugar parts. Add a little vanillin to the jam on the last run to give it a pleasant aroma.
Step 4
Sterilize the jam jars ahead of time. It is better to close it in small jars - it is also more convenient to store, and one open small jar will quickly go away, you will not have to store it in the refrigerator for a long time.
Step 5
Pour hot grape jam into jars, cover tightly. Store in a cool, dark place.
