Pies and rolls, muffins and rolls, cakes and cookies will impress fans of baking. But sweet baked goods have one significant drawback - high calorie content. Excessive consumption of pies and buns will sooner or later lead to weight gain.
Flour
Any housewife knows that flour is the most important component for making sweet buns, it is thanks to her that the dough turns out to be homogeneous and necessary in consistency. Most housewives mistakenly believe that flour has nothing to do with the calorie content of the finished product. In fact, flour is made up of a complex of simple carbohydrates that lead to excess weight. By replacing premium flour with wholemeal or whole grain flour, you can significantly reduce the calorie content of the finished dish.
Eggs
The next indispensable component of baked goods is eggs. It is thanks to the eggs that the dough becomes soft and fluffy and elastic. However, chicken eggs are high in cholesterol, which has a negative effect on the body. In baked goods where a large amount of this product is used, it is better to replace chicken eggs with quail eggs. They are, of course, more expensive, but are considered dietary. Egg powder is also a good alternative to eggs and contains no cholesterol at all.
Sugar
Sugar is an integral part of baked goods. Sometimes its amount in the dough and filling exceeds all conceivable norms. And, as you know, the more sugar in the composition, the higher the calorie content of the finished product. To reduce calorie content, it is recommended to replace sugar with honey or jam. If this is not possible, the amount of sugar should be reduced.
Butter
Butter is often used to prepare both dough and various baking fillings. By itself, oil cannot be called a very healthy product due to the high content of animal fats, which adversely affect the functioning of the liver. The oil also raises the level of cholesterol in the blood, and its calorie content is not small, about 600 kcal / 100 g. For those who care about their figure, it is recommended to replace butter with sour cream or fatty kefir, and for the filling, instead of butter, use mashed potatoes apples or bananas.
