All you need for a quick bake is a dough recipe and a few simple guidelines. Making dough for pies, homemade cakes and baked goods is much easier than it sounds.
This dough can be frozen and stored for up to two months in the freezer. At any time, you can take it out of the refrigerator and make quick baked goods, with which it is delicious to drink tea. Please do not defrost the dough, but bake it right away.
Quick bake dough recipe
1 cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
1/3 cup and 1 tablespoon margarine
2-3 tablespoons of water
How to bake in three easy steps
Step 1: mix ingredients
Use a dough blender to chop the margarine. If you don't have a blender, take two knives and use the following technique. Holding a knife in each hand so that the blades are almost touching, move back and forth in opposite directions, keeping the knives parallel to each other. A line and fork will also work if held sideways.
Mix the ingredients so that they combine. But don't stir for too long, or the dough will be too hard.
To make the dough roll out more easily, it should be frozen for 45 minutes or overnight. First, knead it and make a circle out of it.
Step 2: Roll out the dough without sticking
Secure a rolling napkin or towel (only not terry) to the edges of a large cutting board, at least 30 x 30 cm in area with masking tape. Wrap the knitted fabric around the rolling pin. Rub both surfaces with flour. This will help prevent sticking.
If you don't have a dough napkin, you can dust the rolling pin and kitchen table, cutting board, or work surface with flour.
Place the baking dough on a flat surface and start rolling it out from the middle. Separate the dough from the surface by turning it over from time to time. If the dough starts to stick, add a little flour to the rolling pin and the surface at the same time.
Step 3: Place the dough in a baking tray
Fold the dough in four and place in a baking sheet or other baking dish with the sharp corner in the middle. Spread out and carefully place the dough in the baking sheet. Don't stretch the dough. Otherwise, it will shrink when baked.
Instead of folding the dough, you can wrap it around the rolling pin. The dough can then be unrolled and placed in a baking sheet or other baking dish.
Finishing touch
The grooves on the baking surface complete the picture perfectly. Beauty can be created in one of the following ways.
Smooth the dough to the edges and press it into the baking sheet. Press the fork tines around the edges. To prevent the dough from sticking to the fork, dip it in flour from time to time.
The edge of the "string" will turn out if you rest your thumb inside the dough at the edge, and press inward with your bent index finger, pressing it against your thumb.
