Jasmine is a flavorful Thai rice. This long grain rice is ideal for a variety of exotic or spicy dishes. It always turns out to be crumbly and incredibly tasty.
It is necessary
- - 380 g of Jasmine rice;
- - 720 ml of chicken broth;
- - a teaspoon of turmeric;
- - 1 clove of garlic;
- - 2 pinches of cumin;
- - a pinch of ground cinnamon;
- - Bay leaf;
- - 2 tablespoons of butter.
Instructions
Step 1
In a saucepan with a thick bottom, melt the butter over low heat and mix it with turmeric, squeezed garlic, cumin and cinnamon.
Step 2
Add rice washed in cold water to the pan. Fry, stirring occasionally, for two minutes, so that the rice absorbs the aromas of the spices.
Step 3
Pour chicken broth into a saucepan and add bay leaves. As soon as the broth begins to boil, reduce the heat to low and close the pan with a lid.
Step 4
Cook the rice for 20 minutes without opening the lid or stirring. Turn off the heat and leave the rice for another 10 minutes. After that, a fragrant dish of a beautiful color should be served immediately. You can use green onions as decoration.
