Placindes are Moldovan national pastries. It is made from thinly rolled unleavened dough, in which any filling is wrapped. These are flat closed pies that are fried on both sides in a skillet until golden brown. The filling can be different: potato, meat, liverwort, cabbage, apple.

It is necessary

  • - 3 tbsp. flour of the highest grade
  • - 250 gr. butter
  • - 5 eggs
  • - 3 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • - vinegar (6%) - 2 tablespoons
  • - 1 tsp salt
  • - 600 gr. granular curd
  • - dill
  • - green onions

Instructions

Step 1

Break two eggs in a separate bowl, add olive oil and vinegar. Then add 200 ml of water and stir.

Step 2

Rub the frozen butter on a coarse grater. Then add flour and grind everything until fine crumbs are obtained and combine with the contents of the bowl.

Step 3

Knead the dough, divide into several parts (about 6-7), cover and send to the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Step 4

We begin to prepare the filling. Add finely chopped greens, three eggs, salt to the curd. Mix everything well.

Step 5

Now we begin to mold the placindas. It is better not to take the dough out of the refrigerator all at once, so we take 1 ball of dough from the refrigerator so that the dough does not have time to become soft. We make a cake with our hands and then very thinly roll the cake with a rolling pin (so that it shines through).

Step 6

Put about 3 tablespoons of the resulting filling in the middle of the cake. Then cut the dough into 6 segments with a sharp knife.

Step 7

We take two opposite segments and alternately close our filling with them from the edges to the center. Then close the next two opposite segments.

And finally, the last two segments. Next, lightly press the entire placinda with your palm so that the dough does not stick.

Step 8

Add vegetable oil to the pan and heat over low heat. We spread the resulting placindes with the seams down in the pan. Fry over low heat on both sides until a pleasant ruddy color.
