If you cannot live without cheese, then be sure to bake this cake: the bright taste of aged "Cheddar" will be complemented by a spicy note of mustard!
It is necessary
- - 270 g flour;
- - 2 tsp baking powder;
- - 2 tsp mustard;
- - 1 tbsp. Sahara;
- - 225 ml of milk;
- - 2 eggs;
- - 0.5 tsp salt;
- - 3 tbsp. vegetable oil;
- - 300 g of Cheddar cheese.
Instructions
Step 1
Put the oven on preheat to 180 degrees and prepare a rectangular cake pan by lightly greasing it with vegetable oil using a silicone brush and dusting with flour.
Step 2
Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Set aside about 2-3 tablespoons of grated Cheddar for sprinkling on top.
Step 3
Sift flour with baking powder into a deep bowl, add a little salt and a tablespoon of sugar. Mix thoroughly.
Step 4
In a mixer bowl at the lowest speed beat eggs with milk, mustard and vegetable oil until smooth.
Step 5
Pour the mixture of liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and knead the dough. The mass can turn out to be quite dry: in this case, just add milk to the desired consistency! You can also use sour cream for these purposes.
Step 6
Add the grated "Cheddar" to the dough, mix well.
Step 7
Place the dough in the prepared mold and place in the oven for 45 minutes. The finished cupcake should be golden brown.
Step 8
Sprinkle the grated cheese on the cake about 10 minutes before cooking. If a crack appears on the surface of your cupcake during baking (this sometimes happens), it can be masked this way.
Step 9
Cool the finished cake completely, leave it at room temperature overnight and only then cut into portions and serve. This bread is good both warm and chilled!
