Clafoutis is a light, delicate dessert that can be prepared with any kind of berries (cherries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, etc.). This dish is a cross between a casserole and a pie - the berries are poured with batter and then baked in the oven.
It is necessary
- - 3 eggs;
- - 50 g cocoa
- - 80 g flour;
- - zest of one lemon;
- - 300 ml of milk;
- - 100 g of sugar;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of pitted cherries.
Instructions
Step 1
Rub the lemon zest on a fine grater.
Step 2
We combine all dry ingredients with each other: sugar, zest, flour, cocoa. Add eggs to the dry mixture, mix everything thoroughly and fill it with milk.
Step 3
Beat the resulting mixture with a mixer or a whisk. The dough should turn out to be liquid.
Step 4
Grease the baking dish with butter and put the cherries in the middle. We leave a small amount of berries for decoration. If you are using frozen cherries, thaw them and drain off the excess juice. If desired, the berries can be sprinkled with a small amount of any aromatic alcohol (cognac, whiskey, brandy) - this will help to discourage the egg flavor.
Step 5
Fill the berries with dough. If the cherry has blurred in shape, then it must be displaced again with a spoon to the center.
Step 6
We bake the clafoutis in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 50 minutes.
Step 7
Let the cake cool slightly, then sprinkle it with powdered sugar and decorate with the remaining cherry.
