Veal with sour cream is an old Russian dish that appeared in the 19th century. This delicious cold appetizer is perfect for a festive table. The veal is very tender and appetizing.
It is necessary
- - 500-700 grams of veal;
- - large onion;
- - several heads of garlic;
- - 250 grams of fat sour cream;
- - salt to taste;
- - 6 peas of black pepper;
- - 2 bay leaves.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the onion and cut it in half. Peel the garlic.
Step 2
Put meat, cloves of one head of garlic, whole onion, 6 peas of black pepper, a few bay leaves, salt to taste in boiling water. The water should be salted like a soup.
Step 3
Cook the meat over low heat until tender. If you are cooking from veal, then cook for about one hour, if from beef, then more than two hours. When the meat is done, cool it in the broth.
Step 4
Add the cloves of the second head of garlic to the sour cream. Season with salt and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly.
Step 5
Remove the meat from the broth, cut it into slices of approximately fifty millimeters.
Step 6
Arrange the cuts of meat in a single layer on a platter.
Step 7
Spread each plate thickly with sour cream mixture.
Step 8
Let the dish sit in the refrigerator for about two hours and serve.
