You will need:

  • 600 gr boneless veal,
  • 2 large onions,
  • 5 dried mushrooms,
  • ground black pepper,
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • small pod of hot red pepper,
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 glass of sour cream
  • salt.

Cooking method

Pre-wash and soak dried porcini mushrooms.

Take the meat, remove the shell from it, cut out all the veins and cartilages, wash well, blot with a napkin and cut into four pieces. Beat each piece hard, coat with oil, pour with lemon juice, sprinkle with black pepper, sprinkle with salt and put in a separate bowl for 30 minutes.

Heat the fat in a skillet with high sides. Now dip the beaten meat in wheat flour, put it on very hot fat and fry on a very high flame, first on one side, and then on the other, so that the juice from the meat does not have time to stand out. Fold into a saucepan.

Peel the onions, cut into half rings, fry until yellow, put in a saucepan, add hot red pepper, chopped mushrooms, pour in the water in which the mushrooms have been soaked, cover and simmer for 45 minutes.

Turn the balls over from time to time so that they do not burn to the bottom.

When the meat is soft enough, pour in the sour cream, add salt and pepper to taste and boil.

Serve with spring salad, mashed potatoes, boiled rice.
