Ingredients:

  • 0.1 kg of rice;
  • 0.5 kg of white cabbage;
  • 0.2 kg minced pork;
  • 100 ml of water;
  • ½ onion;
  • ½ carrots;
  • 1 bay leaf;
  • 1 tbsp. l. Sahara;
  • 1 tbsp. l. 6% vinegar;
  • 2 tbsp. l. tomato sauce;
  • 1 tbsp. l. ghee;
  • 2 tbsp. l. sunflower oil;
  • ½ tsp peppercorns;
  • ¼ h. L. salt.

Preparation:

  1. Rinse the rice until the water is transparent, add clean water (keeping to a ratio of 1: 2), boil and cook for about 20 minutes until semi-cooked using minimum heat.
  2. Cut half the onion into quarters and fry until golden, using 1 tbsp. l. sunflower oil.
  3. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, add to the golden onion and fry for another 5 minutes, then turn off and remove from heat.
  4. Finely chop the cabbage and place in a deep frying pan. Pour water there and throw the bay leaf, pour all 1 tbsp. l. sunflower oil, sprinkle with pepper and simmer for half an hour over low heat.
  5. After half an hour, add vegetable frying, tomato sauce, vinegar, salt and sugar to the stewed cabbage. Stir and simmer for another 5 minutes over low heat.
  6. After this time, put boiled rice into the cabbage mass. Mix everything again and simmer again for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Melt a piece of butter in another skillet. Put the minced pork in the ghee, mash it with a fork or crush, season with salt and fry until tender.
  8. Pour the fried meat mass into a frying pan to the cabbage, mix everything and warm it up well. Then scatter in portions on plates and serve.
  9. Cabbage stewed in Belarusian style can be used as a side dish or as a main dish. Therefore, it is recommended to serve it with sour cream and fresh vegetables.
