Apples baked in honey are a primordially Russian delicacy that delights not only with excellent delicate taste, but also with ease of preparation. In addition, this completely natural dish can replace harmful and useless sweets for the body, for example, cake or chocolate.
It is necessary
-
- apples;
- honey;
- baking sheet;
- vegetable oil;
- cinnamon;
- wax paper or foil.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose apples. Sour varieties have the brightest taste after heat treatment, for example, Antonovka. But since such apples ripen closer to autumn and are available for a short period of time, you can choose another option, the main thing is that the structure of the fruit pulp is not too loose or soft, otherwise the fruit will fall apart in the oven. Also, old apples that have lain all winter are not suitable for making such a dessert.
Step 2
Wash the apples, dry with a towel.
Step 3
Make a circular incision in the skin around where the cutting will grow. Gently take out the apple seed box with a teaspoon. If the fruit is hard, use a grooved potato peeler with a pointed tip. Be careful not to pierce the apple through, or the honey will leak onto the baking sheet.
Step 4
Covering the baking sheet with waxed paper or foil will make it easy to clean if honey gets on the surface and burns.
Step 5
Apply a small amount of sunflower or olive oil to foil or wax paper, spread evenly. Place the apples a short distance apart on a baking sheet.
Step 6
Place one teaspoon of honey in the hole of each apple. Make sure that it does not overflow, it is even better if the level is just below the cut line, as the volume of the filler will increase when heated. Keep in mind that honey goes well with nuts, raisins and dried apricots, so you can place these goodies in the core of each apple individually or in a mixture.
Step 7
Place a baking sheet (or baking dish) with apples in an oven preheated to 150 degrees for 10-15 minutes. The duration of the heat treatment depends on the apple variety and your gastronomic preferences.
Step 8
Serve the slightly cooled apples to the table in separate saucers with a dessert spoon. To accentuate the smell of baked apples, lightly dust the hole with ground cinnamon.
