Cheese fried in batter or breading will be an excellent snack for a beer or cocktail, an original party dish or a fun picnic treat for children. For cooking, you can use any kind of cheese, both soft and hard. Serve with sauces, fresh herbs, and pickled vegetables as an accompaniment.
Garlic cheese sausages
This unusual dish can be served for dinner. Supplemented with a green salad, it will be a satisfying meal for anyone who loves cheese.
You will need:
- 130 g of cheddar cheese;
- 185 g fresh bread crumbs;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- 2 eggs;
- 15 g butter;
- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of finely chopped parsley;
- 4 tbsp. spoons of milk;
- a pinch of mustard powder;
- flour for breading;
- vegetable oil for frying.
Chop the garlic, grate the cheese. In a bowl, combine cheese with garlic, fresh bread crumbs, chopped parsley, and mustard powder. Add 1 egg and 1 egg yolk. Grind the mass until smooth. Blind 8 sausages from the resulting minced meat.
Whisk the remaining protein, pour the flour into a flat plate. Heat refined vegetable oil in a deep skillet. Dip the cheese sausages in the protein, roll in flour and put in the pan. Fry until golden brown and serve warm or cold. These sausages are delicious with tomato sauce.
Deep-fried camembert
This dish is prepared very quickly and is served as a hot appetizer along with a sour gooseberry, lingonberry or red currant sauce.
You will need:
- 150 g camembert;
- 1 egg;
- 3 tbsp. spoons of bread crumbs;
- vegetable oil for frying.
Cut the camembert into pieces and place them in the refrigerator to almost freeze the cheese. Heat vegetable oil. Beat the egg.
Dip frozen cheese in an egg, roll in breadcrumbs and fry in hot oil until golden brown. Place the toasted cheese on a paper towel lined plate to absorb the excess fat. Serve the appetizer while it is still hot.
Batter cheese

You will need:
- 250 g of spicy cheese;
- 4 tbsp. spoons of beer;
- 1 egg;
- 2 tbsp. tablespoons of flour;
- 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds;
- vegetable oil for frying.
Separate the yolk from the protein. In a bowl, combine the yolk with flour and beer, add the sesame seeds and the frothed egg white. Stir the batter gently.
Cut the cheese into plastics. Dip them in batter one by one and place them in heated oil. Fry the cheese until golden brown, place on a plate lined with paper napkin. Serve hot on a plate lined with lettuce leaves. Separately, you can serve hot tomato or garlic sauce.
