It is very simple to prepare a herring snack under mustard filling, the most important thing in this appetizer is a fragrant dressing in which slightly salted herring should be marinated for at least 12 hours. So you need to start preparing such a snack in advance.
It is necessary
- - 1 slightly salted herring;
- - 1 onion;
- - 4 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil;
- - 3 teaspoons of Dijon mustard;
- - 2 bay leaves;
- - 1 teaspoon allspice;
- - dill, green onions.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the herring into fillets or buy a ready-made fish fillet - it will even be easier this way. Cut the herring fillet into small pieces.
Step 2
Combine olive oil and mustard in a bowl until smooth.
Step 3
Put peppercorns, bay leaves, chopped green onions in a convenient jar. Place half of the chopped herring on top, cover with half of the mustard sauce.
Step 4
Peel the onion, cut into thin rings. Put the onion in a jar, then the leftover herring, sprinkle with chopped dill on top. Pour in the remaining sauce.
Step 5
Close the jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 12 hours. It is recommended to prepare this appetizer 1 day before the proposed celebration.
Step 6
Transfer the marinated herring pieces to a flat dish. Sprinkle with fresh green onions before serving. Can be served with boiled potatoes.
