Baking can be not only tasty, but also very healthy. For example, apple oatmeal cranberry pie. Such a dessert will not harm the figure, but to make it more attractive, it can be covered with cranberry-apple jam.
Oat pie with cranberries and apples
To prepare this interesting and tasty pastry, you will need:
- small oatmeal - 1, 25 tbsp.;
- raw eggs - 1 pc.;
- flour - 1, 5 tbsp.;
- baking margarine "Pyshka" - 125 g;
- sugar - 80 g;
- baking powder - 10 g;
- milk - 125 ml;
- apples - 250 g;
- cranberries - 50 g;
- salt - 5 g.
First, mix the following ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt and fine oatmeal. One of the prerequisites for successful baking is the selection of instant flakes.
Put the required amount of margarine in a separate enamel bowl and melt it over a fire at low temperature. Then it is necessary to add sugar to the resulting liquid mass and mix the resulting composition.
If the temperature of this mass approached room temperature, you can drive a raw egg into this mixture and beat everything with a whisk. After that, you should start pouring cold milk into the mixture in a thin stream, without stopping the whipping process. The sugar crystals must completely dissolve.
Instead of a pastry whisk, you can use a kneading mixer to prepare the dough. Next, you need to add a composition of oatmeal, flour, salt and baking powder to the liquid mass in small portions. The dough must be kneaded until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.
If you used a mixer, you should not use it at the next stage, since you will have to add berries to the dough, and they may be damaged.
If the cranberries for the pie are frozen, they must first be defrosted and then thrown into a colander to remove excess liquid. If the berries for baking are taken fresh, they must be washed and dried a little.
Prepared cranberries should be put directly into the dough. Apples must first be washed, cut and cored and seeds removed. Then the fruit should be cut into very thin slices, the peel need not be cut off. The apple slices should also be put into the pie dough and then the resulting mass should be mixed with a spoon, but very carefully.
A baking dish (preferably silicone) should be greased with butter and put out the dough, placed in the oven. The oven temperature should be 180-190 ° C, the pie with apples and cranberries should be baked for about 45 minutes. The readiness of the baking must be checked with a wooden skewer. If the crumbs don't stick to the stick, the baked goods are ready.
Cranberry-apple jam for spreading
To prepare this fruit and berry filling, you need:
- apples - 2 pcs.;
- cranberries - 20 g;
- sugar - 3 tablespoons;
- water - 2 tbsp.
Apples should be rinsed, peeled, cored, sliced and then mashed with a blender. Defrosted cranberries should be rubbed through a sieve and added to the apples. Pour water into the stewpan, add sugar and put the container on fire. When syrup is formed in the saucepan, pour the fruit and berry mass into it, mix and cook over low heat. The fruit composition should shrink and thicken. The resulting mass should be smeared on the surface of an oat pie with apples and cranberries.
