The originality of this recipe is that the dumplings are prepared from curd dough and then steamed. Vanilla thyme sauce will be a great addition to such dumplings. Take fresh strawberries as a filling.
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - 400 g flour;
- - 300 g of cottage cheese;
- - 100 g of sugar;
- - 3 eggs;
- - 1/3 teaspoon of salt.
- For filling:
- - 400 g of strawberries;
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of cornstarch.
- For the sauce:
- - 200 ml of cream;
- - 50 g of sugar;
- - 2 egg yolks;
- - 5 sprigs of thyme;
- - vanillin.
Instructions
Step 1
Mix cottage cheese with sugar and eggs, add flour with sugar and salt, knead the dough from these components, cover it with a towel and set aside to rest for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Rinse fresh strawberries, cut, mix with sugar and starch - the filling for the dumplings is ready.
Step 3
Place the dough on a floured table. Roll out into a layer, cut out the circles with a shape or glass, put strawberry filling on the dough circles, coat the edges of the dough with protein and blind the dumplings.
Step 4
Lubricate the steamer bowl with vegetable oil, put the prepared dumplings in it, cook until tender for 10-15 minutes. You can cook curd dumplings in a water bath.
Step 5
Prepare the vanilla thyme sauce for the dumplings. Combine the egg yolks with sugar and a pinch of vanillin. Put the cream on the fire, bring to a boil. Pour the egg mixture into the hot cream, stir quickly with a spatula. Put the sauce on the fire, bring to a thickening. At the end of cooking, add thyme sprigs, remove from heat and beat with a blender. Let the sauce cool slightly, then strain through a sieve.
Step 6
Serve ready-made curd dumplings warm, sprinkled with aromatic vanilla-thyme sauce, which is suitable for cheese cakes and pancakes.
